Decided to wake up naturally in this comfy villa instead. Headed to the restaurant to grab a late breakfast. We didn't have breakfast included in our list of hotels picked throughout our trip as we were expecting local food in Patong area except this one. There was really nothing more to say. The selection of food was incredible and the quality was outstanding. The service was impeccable. Having breakfast in a restaurant facing the beach is truly breathtaking in the morning.
Then was being picked up by the staff from Anantara Resort at around 11am. Upon arrival, a friendly staff led us for an hour tour around the resort area. Actually it was quite nice but we'd like the chic and stylish design of Sala rather. But anyway, everything Anantara Resort offers looks fantastic and may try staying with it next time. Of course there wasn't any free lunch in the world. Membership packages were introduced yet it wasn't pushy. We got the free Phuket FantaSea Show tickets and we left after a while of conversation.
Back to Sala and spent some time reading both in the public pool and in our villa while Lawrence went swimming. Required late check out but still didn't want to leave! Wished we could stay longer so that I could spend more time just enjoying the villa. It is just a perfect place for couples to relax, unwind and leave worries behind.
Off we went to another hotel near the airport for our last night in Phuket. Naiyang Beach Resort was a bit hard to find. We got into a wrong one with the GPS. No wonder the outlook of the hotel didn't seem right according to my memory.
Finally found the right Naiyang Beach Resort. Great value for money (HKD282 /night). Pools were lovely and clean but we didn't have a chance to swim at all. Location was perfect. It was located practically on the beach where lots of cafes could be found. Everything was cheap there. The only draw backs were just wifi only be able to access at reception but not in your room and the beds were quite hard.
Were both hungry and walked along the beach to check out some food. Were both attracted by the menu of Bann Ra Tree. Springrolls, fish cakes and mango juice only cost 360 bahts.
Rested a bit in our hotel writing postcards, then it was almost time for the Phuket FantaSea Show. Free pick up was offered right at the hotel front gate. It took less than an hour to reach there. Redeem our tickets and started to explore this little park.
I was amazed by the interior design of the washrooms!
Watched some exhibits and animals, the headed to the buffet restaurant.
The buffet restaurant was hugeeeeee! From my observation this huge place could accommodate over a few thousands people having buffet dinner together! However, the food was just average. Provided that it was free, we didn't expect much.
He just stopped there and watched for quite a while. I was quite sure this guy wanna get a ride but he denied.
The theatre play was actually pretty cool but Lawrence didn't enjoy it much though. The light and sound effects, dance routines and the magic show were quite organized. Cameras were not allowed and we needed to queue up with a huge amount of tourists to drop our belongings in the lockers.
Walked around for a while after the show to avoid getting stuck with a bunch of tourists leaving the park at the same time.
Free shuttle service provided back to the hotel right next to the ticketing counters. Got a quick shower and slept right away as we gotta wake up early, return the car and catch our flight the next morning.
