Bought air tickets to Penang from Airasia. It costs only HKD1200/ person. Actually the main purpose of this trip was to Langkawi. But could visit Penang again. I miss the food there.
Flight schedule: 1955- 2330 AK 1575 (Hong Kong to Penang)
1540- 1925 AK1574 (Penang to Hong Kong)
Accommodation: Super 8 Hotel
Arrived at the airport at around 5:30pm. Checked our baggage and got the air tickets. Then we had dinner in the food court at Terminal 2.
Boarded at 7:55pm sharp. Lucky us with no delay.
Caught a taxi after getting through the custom. It was already midnight and it charged more like around MYR70 to our hotel. This time we stayed at Super 8 Hotel since there was no promotion for Tune Hotel. Surprisingly it was out of expectation since it only costs HK250/ night but it was more spacious than Tune! Also, with TV & breakfast included (not buffet breakfast of course!), we were really happy with it. One only thing that we didn't like is the shower is not a separated one. So the toilet may probably get wet if you are not taking shower 'carefully'. Remember to bring along your toothpaste and toothbrush with you as well.
